Saint Emilion, ridden by Leith Innes, becoming the seventh Group One winner for the season for the Cambridge centre when winning the Bonecrusher NZ Stakes at Ellerslie on March 10. It was also the fifth success at Group One level during the 2017-18┬áterm for the country’s leading trainers Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman.

 

Vin De Dance, ridden by local jockey Jason Waddell, providing Cambridge trainers Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman with their second Gr.1 Vodafone NZ Derby win when beating Mongolianconqueror (nearest camera) at Ellerslie on March 3. The training partners also won the feature in 2015 with Mongolian Khan.

 

Devise (Michael Coleman) breaking through for a well-deserved top level win in the Haunui Farm WFA Group One Classic at Hastings on February 24 for Cambridge trainer Shaune Ritchie and owner-breeder, The Oaks Stud.

 

Lizzie L’Amour (Matt Cameron) effortlessly winning her second Group One, the Herbie Dyke Stakes at Te Rapa on February 10 for local trainers Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman and owner-breeders Gary and Lorna Moore.
