Levin Classic mission for Crown Prosecutor

Crown Prosecutor (Jason Waddell), pictured on his way to winning the Gr.3 Lucia Valentina Wellington Stakes last Friday, is to be set for another trip south.

Crown Prosecutor will now be set for more black-type missions after impressing in the Gr.3 Lucia Valentina Wellington Stakes (1600m) at Otaki last Friday.

The Stephen Marsh-trained three-year-old will have a brief freshen-up before heading toward Trentham next month to tackle the Gr.1 Levin Classic (1600m).

“He’s going to have seven to 10 days out in the paddock then we will take him down for the Levin Classic and we’ll have to assess where we’re at after that,” Marsh said.

“What we do to get him there is undecided, but that’s definitely where we want to be.

“He seems to have come through the race well.”
