Track Work 6 December 2018

JON SNOW rounded off his preparation for Saturday’s G1 Rydges Wellington Captain Cook Stakes at Trentham in good style this morning.

Galloping on the outside of a slow No 1 grass, JON SNOW and class mare LIZZIE L’AMOUR matched strides over 1000m, run in 1:8.3, sprinting in from the 600m in 37.8. JON SNOW will be having his first start since returning from a short campaign in Australia. He looks ready to produce a bold run fresh up.

QUEEN OF DIAMONDS, who has derived much benefit from her recent victory, had SAINT EMILION for a partner over 1200m, clocked in 1:23.4, running the final 600m in 37.3.

MEMORIES ONLY travelled well from the 800m in 52.4. He could be one for longer odds at Ellerslie this weekend.

TERRA SANCTA hit out nicely from the 1000m in 1:8.2, coming home in 37.7.

Working on the No4 grass, CANTSTOPTHEFEELING worked in nicely from the 600m in 37.5. He was an impressive winner last start and should run well in the talented G3 Bonecrusher Stakes at Ellerslie.

ARETHA, who will make her debut in the G2 Anuka Smoker Wakefield Challenge Stakes for Two year Olds at Trentham, was in good form alongside TRUEFALLS over 800m, running the final 600m in 40.

GUNDOWN and MONGOLIAN MARSHAL came to the end of 1200m in 1:24.3, finishing off in 40.1.
JET CHARGED was given an easy time over 800m, the last 600m in 42. TASMAN WARRIOR and CAMPING were timed over 600m in 39.2.

EXCELSIOR ISLAND and SPANCILHIL left the 600m behind in 38.4.

On the sand STARRYBEEL was not after time when completing 600m in 44.2. He will be hard to beat in the last at Ellerslie.

LADYLAX and LADYNADEL were sent 1000m in 1:10.2 and 40.
