Track Work 17 January 2019

Several Trentham- bound locals enhanced their chances when working on a dead No 1 grass this morning.

Impressive last start winner LORD ARTHUR and VALALIE matched strides from the 1200 in 1:22.6, sprinting the final 600m in 39.1. Both hit the line under a nice hold.

LORD ARTHUR races in the Gazely Mercedes Benz Premier over 1600m. The rise in class shouldn’t hinder his chances and the extra distance will suit.

VALALIE, who is in good form, will take her place in the Williment Travel Group Desert Gold Stakes.

BOSTONIAN looked ready to produce his best in Saturday’s G1 JR & N Berkett Telegraph. He travelled well from the 800m, completing the concluding 600m in 39.3.

MENTAL TELEPATHY, who has drawn the outside ally in Saturday’s NZ Campus of Innovation and Sport Wellington Cup, came in from the 1200m in 1:23.4, finishing off in 40.

SCO MO EAGLE was clocked from the 600m in 41.4. REDCAYENNE, who races in the Lincoln Farms Premier at Trentham, left 1400m behind in 1:36.3, the last 600m in 39.2.

Race rival and stable mate TREASURE looked in good order when timed from the 1000m in 1:8.6 and 39.8.

CLEMENTINA, another Baker/Forsman acceptor for the Williment Travel Group Desert Gold Stakes was in good form over 1200m in 1:24.6, home in 40.

NOT USUAL JUNE did well from the 1000. Run in 1:6.4 and 39. RANGIPO returned the fastest work on the No 1 grass when timed from the 800m in 51.8, sprinting the 600m in 37.4.

LIZZIE L’AMOUR ran an easy 1000m in 1:11 and 40.5.

On the No 3 grass PEACEFUL and ELEANOR RIGBY left 1200m behind in 1:24, the last 600m in 39.2.

SAINT EMILION and CUTADEEL impressed when timed from the 600m in 37. VIN DE DANCE and KONSTANTINA run 1200m in 1:22, finishing off in 38.4.
