Track Work 4 July 2019

Te Rapa candidates’ INDIGENOUS UNION and BEAU JEU galloped as well as any on a heavy track at Cambridge today.

Working 10m out on the No2 grass, the stablemates were on terms at the completion of 1400m, timed in 1:41.4, running the final 600m in 40.5.

INDIGENOUS UNION has derived benefit from his fresh up run at Ruakaka over 1600m, and the rise in distance this weekend should see him right in the finish.

BEAU JEU, who has had two nice runs since resuming, will handle the heavy ground at Te Rapa and has a good record over 2100m.

PACORUS looked in excellent order when sent 1200m in 1:23.6, the last 600m in 40. He heads to Awapuni this weekend and will have the services of the in-form 3kg claiming apprentice Hazel Schofer.

SKAABOOM strode in from the 1000m in 1:10.1, coming home in 41. She is a consistent type who should again be competitive at Te Rapa.

MR INCREDIBULL, who could not have been more impressive when breaking maiden ranks at Te Awamutu late last month, left 1000m behind in a comfortable 1;12. Increasing from the 600m in 39.2, he will be very hard to beat at Te Aroha this Sunday.

RED BEACH looked in peak form when working nicely alongside RIPPIN over 1200m in 1:19.3, coming home in 39.2. Both line up at Te Rapa.

KONSTANTINA and CHARLI ROSE came to the end of 1400m in 1:39.5, the concluding 600m in 38.8. INDAH followed in 1:21 and 40.1.

SCAGLIONI and WAGNER were clocked from the 1000m in 1:8.8, the final 600m in 39.1.

SHADOW DANCER came in from the 600m in 42.1. NEW YORK MINUTE was in fine form when timed from the 1000m in 1:8, sprinting the 600m in 37.7. The quickest sectional of the morning’s work.

FORT STREET DANCER and SHE SAID YES ran the last 600m of work in 42.1.

REDCAYENNE travelled sweetly from the 1200m in 1:23.1, sprinting home in 38.5. THE CHOSEN ONE, who is coming to hand well, was sent 400m with his smart stable mate QUICK THINKER, run in 28.4.
