Track Work 1 August 2019

BEAUTY STAR followed up nice Tuesday work with another pleasing gallop this morning.

Working 12m out on a slow No 2 grass, BEAUTY STAR came in from the 600m in 41.4. He was well held throughout. He looks ready to exit maiden ranks at Te Rapa in the Lodge Real Estate over 1600m.

PADRAIG could be one for odds at Te Rapa. He was in fine form when sent 1000m in 1:6.3, sprinting the final 600m in 38.6. He tends to mix form but when he puts in has the ability to be most competitive.

FIVE STARS and SPRING DELIGHT came to the end of 1000m in a comfortable 1.12, finishing off in 41.1.

THE HEIRESS, who has been in solid form, was not pushed when timed over 1000m in 1:10.1 and 42.

MALIBU MAGIC worked in from the 600m in 41. FAST AND FURIOUS followed from the 1000m in 1:13.1, the concluding 600m in 42.2.

THE MIDNIGHT SHIFT strode in from the 1000m in 1:13.1, running the last 600m in 43.

ARETHA looks to be coming to hand well for a new campaign. She was sent 600m, run in 38.9.

Roger James was very pleased with the way his smart mare RONDINELLA galloped between races at Tauranga on Wednesday. She was timed from the 600m on a very heavy track in 39.2. She is set to head to Australia at the end of the month.
