Track Work 14 January 2020

ARTISTE looks a strong chance in this weekend’s NZ Campus of Innovation and Sport Wellington Cup, after returning encouraging work this morning.

Constant rain restricted the plough to only a hand full of early gallops.

ARTISTE did well when working by herself over one round, running the last 1200m in 1:21.1, with the final 600m in 40. She stuck on OK after a tough run in last month’s Skycity City of Auckland Cup, and with a light weight this weekend, she should be competitive at nice odds.

EILEITHYIA, who makes her debut at Te Rapa this Sunday, worked well alongside PERFECT DIMENSION over 1000m in 1:10.5, finishing off in 41.1. She ran a nice 4th in a recent trial on her home track.

ENJOY THE SHOW and MONGOLIAN MARSHAL matched strides from the 1200m in 1:21.6, the concluding 600m in 39.9.

AMASECOYA came in from the 600m in a well held 42.1. SHOWBEEL came to the end of 1200m in 1:19.9 and 40.

Galloping on the sand DARCI’S FLIGHT, ATISHOO and ULAANBAATAR left 600m behind in an easy 44.6. OH’HE CAN was sent 800m at three quarter pace, quickening slightly from the 600m in 42.

GRAND DE FLORA, LYN’S ORCHID and SAVEZAR were in good form over 1200m in 1.19, sprinting the last 600m in 37.9.

HYPNOS returned 1:19.4 and 38.3 for 1200m. MONLULA and HEAVEN AMORE cut out 1200m in 1:9.2, finishing off in 38.6.

Only horses to gallop on a good No. 4 grass were REMEMBER O’REILLY, who completed 1000m in 1:7.9, the last 600m in 39.1 and stablemate RIP ‘N’ BURN who did well over 1000m in 1:6.2, home in 38.4.
