Track Work 16 January 2020

GRAND DE FLORA could be one for odds in Saturday’s New Zealand Bloodstock Desert Gold Stakes after returning nice final work with stablemate SAVEZAR this morning.

Galloping on the plough, GRAND DE FLORA and SAVEZAR were travelling sweetly at the completion of their work, coming in from the 1200m in 1:17.3, sprinting the last 600m in 35.9.

GRAND DE FLORA got a long way back in the running last start, but finished strongly over the final stages. The extra distance should suit the well bred filly.

SAVEZAR, who also worked well on Tuesday, has copped a horrific draw at Te Rapa and may not start.

NZ Campus of Innovation and Sport Wellington Cup hopeful ARTISTE, followed excellent Tuesday work with another good gallop, in company with SPRING DELIGHT over 1400m in 1:42.3, the final 600m in 38.

ENJOY THE SHOW and MONGOLIAN MARSHAL did their Trentham chances no harm working over 1200m in 1:19.4 and 38.3.

SHOWBEEL and SELENELION left 1200m behind in a comfortable 1:23.5, finishing off in 40.

PACKING ROCKSTAR and AIM SMART were clocked from the 600m in a smart 35.9. RIP ‘N’ BURN and REMEMBER O’REILLY came in from the 600m in 36.7.

MONLULA and HEAVEN AMORE came to the end of 1400m in 1.37.8, home in 39.3. TWO ILLICIT strode 1000m in 1:9.3 and 40.1.

CONCERT HALL followed in 1:9.7, home in 40.4. CABALLERO returned 38.5 for the final 600m of 1000m.

LOVE STRUCK left 1200m behind in 1:19.4, the 600m in 38.5. EROS and OCEAN SPIRIT cut out 1400m nicely in 1:33.4, home in 36.5.

HYPNOS was clocked from the 800m in 56.4.
