Talented Cambridge stayer Farm Boy is ready to get his career back on track.

Farm Boy has recovered from a leg injury suffered in a paddock mishap on Guy Fawke’s night and he is now set to open his summer campaign.

“He’s come up really well and we’ll probably run him in the open 1400 at Tauranga on Friday,” said Tim Carter, who trains the 2015 Gr.2 Avondale Cup winner with his wife, Margaret.

“After that he’ll go to the NRM Sprint then the Group One New Zealand Stakes at Ellerslie in March.”

Meanwhile, stablemate and Gr.2 Coupland’s Bakeries Mile winner Battle Time is enjoying a break.

“We decided to freshen him up and he’s having a month to six weeks on the farm,” said Carter.
