Injury-plagued Cambridge sprinter Pinzalot faces another lengthy break.

“He’s bowed a tendon so he’ll be having nine months off,” said trainer Mark Forbes.

Pinzalot, who returned home after suffering a similar injury in his Hong Kong debut, posted three wins and two placings in six appearances for Forbes.

Meanwhile, the talented filly and Gr.3 Mongolian Khan Trophy placegetter Royal Fashion is back in the Forbes stable to chase further black type honours next preparation.

“She’ll probably kick off at Ruakaka then we may have a look at the Foxbridge Plate,” said Forbes.

Royal Fashion’s performances will determine whether she earns a crack at the Gr.1 Tarzino Trophy on the opening day of the Hawke’s Bay Spring Carnival.
