Tony Pike’s sole representative at Te Awamutu today did the Cambridge trainer proud with Sin To Win producing a tidy performance to win on debut.

The Sir Percy three-year-old raced on the pace and kicked clear before the turn to comfortably account for Forreel, a half-sister by Nom du Jeu to the multiple Group One winner Dundeel.

“I put the pressure on at the 400 to get a break and he won well,” said successful rider Michael McNab.

Raced by his breeder Jenny Grieve, Sin To Win had trialled twice with the best result being a fourth.
