Snowdrop, who will wind up her current campaign tomorrow.

The talented Snowdrop will end her five-year-old season at tomorrow’s Hawke’s Bay meeting.

The Tony Pike-trained mare, who has made good progress this year with three wins and two stakes placings, will close out her campaign in the Listed New Zealand Bloodstock Finance Sprint.

She goes into the stakes race with a last-start seventh behind Signify in the Listed Phil Cataldo Bloodstock Lightning Handicap at Trentham. A start earlier she was fourth to Splurge at Ellerslie, the track on which she finished a close second to Speech Craft in the Listed Hallmark Stud Handicap on Boxing Day.

Another strong chance for the stable at the meeting will be the juvenile Bostonian in the Fasttrack Insurance 2YO.

“He looks pretty progressive,” said Pike of the brother to Chaussure, who has won twice for champion Sydney trainer Chris Waller.

Bostonian, a son of Jimmy Choux, followed a trials win at Cambridge with a debut win at Avondale over 1200 metres, 100 short of tomorrow’s test.
