Sam Spratt had no luck when labelling Thee Achiever as her best ride last weekend, but she’s opting for another Cambridge horse to come up trumps tomorrow.

Spratt has elected the Frank Ritchie-trained Aaja Nachle as her best mount over the weekend, even though the four-year-old mare will be facing her toughest test in the Listed $50,000 Team Wealleans Tauranga Classic.

Spratt has had one mount on Aaja Nachle and that resulted in a Rating 85 win at Te Rapa last month. Cambridge apprentice Viktoria Gatu has the ride when Aaja Nachle completed a double at Ellerslie a fortnight later to earn her crack at the Tauranga feature.

A selection of some of New Zealand’s other leading jockeys offer their best rides for the weekend and, where applicable, last week’s result.
