Track Work 10 March 2021

JOY ALONE, who will back up at Ellerslie after placing third there last weekend, drew attention to her chances with encouraging work today.

Galloping on the all-weather track, JOY ALONE was full of running at the completion of 800m, with the final 600m in 39.  She was held up at a vital stage in the home run last Saturday and looks in magnificent order to notch up her second win this campaign.

CONCERT HALL followed excellent Tuesday work with a comfortable 1400m in 1:45.4, the last 600m in 41.  If the track conditions are no worse than dead, she will give the Te Akau guns tough competition in Saturday’s Bonecrusher NZ Stakes.

ROBUSTO, who was a surprise winner of the Wallen Concreting Avondale Cup, looked fit for a crack at the Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup when sent an easy 1400m in 1.50, finishing off in 42.3.

Stable-mate and race rival STAR TSAR left the 1000m behind in 1:9.2, the final 600m in 41.  Both should be most competitive in the Group 1 feature.

MADAM HASS came to the end of 800m in 58.3 and 41.6 from the 600m.

ONE MORE TIME ran 800m in 55.8.  CASHFLOW followed in 55.3.

ROCCIA was not after time over 600m in 45.1.  RAPID FALLS came in 600m in 39.6.

HYPNOS worked in from the 1200m in 1:27.4 and 40.8.  HASSTOBEYOU cut out 600m in 41.3.

PIERINA ran an easy 600m in 43.7.
