Track Work 12 March 2020

STAR TSAR will head to Trentham at peak fitness after another impressive gallop this morning.

With many horses engaged at the local jump-outs later in the morning, the plough was not at its busiest.

STAR TSAR worked in nicely from the 1000m in 1:7.8, sprinting the last 600m in 38.3. He has been most impressive since his winning debut and although up in grade this weekend he should be too smart for his rivals.

BERGAMOT completed her preparation for Saturday’s Al Basti Equiworld Dubai New Zealand Oaks in good style, running 1200m in 1:21.3, finishing off with 600m in 39.3. She has drawn the inside gate and should stay the 2400m and could sneak into the money at good odds.

Stablemate and race rival SHOWBEEL did her chances no harm with 1200m, clocked in 1:22.1 and 39.7. She should also be competitive in the three year old fillies classic.

VICTORY GLORY looked in good order for Tauranga when kept under a nice hold from the 1000m in 1:9.2, the final 600m in 39. Impressive last start winner BIRDSONG and BONITA AURELIA worked well over 1000m in 1:7.4, home in 38.6.

SAVASTEP left 1200m behind in 1:21.1, the 600m in 38.9. RED BEACH, who is shaping up nicely for a fresh campaign, completed 800m in a comfortable 53.2.

LADYLAX came to the end of 600m in 40.3. JACK THE LASS, who will debut at Tauranga this weekend, ran 1000m in 1:8.8 and 38.9. WELL I NEVER returned 42.1 for 600m.

EL NOIR was sent 900m, coming in from the 600m in 42.7. FINGERS CROSSED and PER INCANTO|ALPENA ROSEA matched strides from the 600m in 39.4. EVEN CHANCE ran 1200m in 1:25.2 and 40.5.

HYPNOS should race well fresh at Tauranga. He followed nice Tuesday work with an easy 1200m in 1:25.2, home in 41.9. HASSTOBEGOOD followed in 1:24.6 and 40.6. SHE’S A LADY and RIVERFALLS cut out 1000m in 1:8.9, finishing off in 38.5.

ALAMO ran the last 600m of 800m in 40. STATELINE completed 600m in 39.9.

On the No 4 grass (dead) GO NICHOLAS completed 1000m in 1:9.5, sprinting the 600m in 39.2. He starts fresh up at Tauranga this weekend and with a nice victory at the recent trials and the benefit of a 3kg claimer, he should go well.
