Track Work 13 December 2016

SUMMER’S DAY had a nice hit out on the number one grass at Cambridge today. Working on a dead track, SUMMER’S DAY, whose racing career is coming to an end, due to being in foal, looked in excellent order when working over 1200 in 1:25, quickening over the last 600 in 38.

With a big team of locals heading to the Te Aroha trial later in the day, few gallops took place.

Impressive last start winner CHOCANTE, was sent over ground, completing the final 600 in 40.3. Working on the number 3 grass, which provided dead footing, BLUE FLAG, LADY KALIMARA and INASTRIDE left 1200 behind in 1:18, the 1000 in 1:06.2 and the final 600 in 36.7.
