Track Work 21 July 2016

Consistent gelding, ELUSIVE GOLD did his weekend prospects no harm with an encouraging gallop at Cambridge this morning.

Galloping on the sand, ELUSIVE GOLD was travelling strongly at the completion of 1000, running the final 600 in 39.1. He is a previous winner on the Ruakaka track and should be competitive again this weekend.

Stable mates, DEL RIOS and SCAMP, who are both engaged at Ruakaka this weekend, matched strides over 1000 in 1:09.1, sprinting the 600 in 39.7.

Working on the number 4 grass, New Plymouth candidate SUMMER’S DAY followed an impressive Tuesday gallop with a comfortable 1400 at 3/4 pace, finishing off in 43.9.

THUNDERBIRD ONE and EL FERNANDO left 1000 behind in 1:10, the concluding 600 in 39.4.

On a heavy number 2 grass, SUGGESTIONS, an impressive last start winner, handled the conditions well when completing 1000 in 1:08, the final section in 38.4. She looks a good chance to complete a brace of wins in the Sandfords Rurual Carriers SC Maiden 1400 at New Plymouth.

KINGSGRAVE was given an easy 600 in 43.

BOWIE and ANA worked nicely from the 1200 in 1:18.4 and 39.4.

SHARE THE WONDER and MISS SERENDIPITY ran 1000 in 1:11coming home in 43.3.
