Track Work 25 July 2019

Smart two year old SAI FAH completed his preparation for Saturday’s Courtesy Ford Ryder Stakes with nice final work this morning, 6m out on a slow No2 grass when only a handful of gallops took place.

SAI FAH, although not after time, looked at peak fitness when sent 800m at three-quarter pace, running the final 600m in 44.9.

The Stephen Marsh trained RIOS Colt was a convincing winner at Te Rapa last weekend and although he meets stronger opponents at Otaki, should be hard to beat.

BOBBY DAZZLER, another Stephen Marsh runner backing up from a win last weekend, looks set to add to the 96 winners the stable have produced so far this season, when sent an easy 800m, finishing off in 46.

ELLE EYE ARE and RIPPIN came to the end of a solid 1200m in 1:19, sprinting the last 600m in 38.4. ELLE EYE ARE heads to Otaki to the McMahon Livestock Handicap and RIPPIN will race at Rotorua in the Waikato/BOP Busy Bees 1560. Both strong winning chances.

VIBRATO, another local entered for the Courtesy Ford Ryder Stakes, had a MAKFI|PERFECT PARADISE for a companion over 800m, run in 57, home in 40.3.

REDCAYENNE looked fit for Saturday’s RSA Taumarunui Gold Cup at Rotorua when timed from the 1000m in 1;6.7, the final 600m in 38.3.

MIDNIGHT SHIFT worked in from the 200m in 1:26.2, the concluding 600m in 41.3.

A MAKFI gelding and a NICCONI gelding from Diamond Lodge were impressive when sprinting 600m in 35.9.
