Track Work 25 May 2017

BREAK MY STRIDE appeared to handle the loose ground well, when preparing for Ellerslie this weekend.

Galloping on a heavy No 2 grass, when fog interrupted the timing of several sectional work, BREAK MY STRIDE was travelling nicely alongside stable mate TOMELILLA throughout 1200m, run in 1.25, the last 400m in 27.8.

BOWIE was another who got through the conditions nicely from the 1000m in 1.8.3.

ARZAK came in from the 1000m in 1.9, the 400m in 28.

LILY THE PINK, who makes her debut in the two year old feature at Ellerslie – the GRAEME THOMSON JEWELLERS GREAT NORTHERN FOAL STAKES, should be most competitive, after returning smart work with CHAMBON over 1000m, running the last 600m in 39.

TWINKLES worked in from the 1200m at three-quarter pace, quickening from the 600m.

POKER FACE followed with similar work. NEALA came to the end of 1400m in 1.35.6.

SACRED EMPIRE ran 1000m in 1.8.6. QUANTUM was timed from the 600m in 38.9.

LALA LAND and FIRST NEPHEW were sent 1400m in 1.36. Both handled the surface well.
