Track Work 4 February 2016

TAVAGO, one of several locally trained gallopers entered for this weekend’s Group 2 DARCI BRAHMA WAIKATO GUINEAS, capped off his work in fine style at Cambridge this morning.

On the No 1 grass TAVAGO travelled nicely from the 1000m in 1.9.2 completing the last 600 under a firm hold in 42. He was very unlucky last start and looks a leading prospect for the Group 2 feature.

Galloping on the plough ZACADA and GET THAT JIVE were not pushed when finishing together after 1200m in 1.22.2, the final 600 in 40.1. RAGHU looked fit for the Darci Brahma Waikato Guineas when completing the final 600 of work in 41.3.

BLUE FLAG cut out 1200 in 1.21.2 coming home in 40. She was an impressive winner at her most recent Te Rapa start and looks a strong chance this weekend.

CURIOUS came in from the 600 in 41.1. SACRED STAR was clocked from the 600m in a comfortable 41.8. BEACH BEAUTY ran 100m in 1.12.3 and 42.

CHENILLE another strong Te Rapa candidate came to the end of 1000m in 1.10.3 and home in 41.4. Impressive debut winner TOMELILLA worked well over 1000 in 1.9.3 the last 600 in 40.

TAVY completed 1000m in an easy 1.12 and 41. NEVER IN DOUBT ran 1200 in 1.25.3 finishing off in 42. COOL TART followed in 1.28 and 43. DOWNTOWN ABBY was given an easy task over 1000m in 1.15.2 home in 44.
