Open ‘N’ Shut looked at peak fitness for racing at Te Rapa this weekend when galloping on a good plough at Cambridge this morning

Open ‘N’ Shut (Hughes) left 1000m behind in 1:3, sprinting the final 600m in 35.8.   He should be most competitive this weekend.

On the Level ((Roustoby), who returns to racing this weekend after a long break, strode comfortably from the 1200m in 1:25, the final 600m in 39.   He has been working well for some time and should run a bold race fresh up.

Divine Star (Dalley) was given an easy task from the 1200m in 1.25 and 40.7 for the last 600m.  The Tidy Express (Cowie) completed 1200m at three quarter pace, coming home in 42.   Prestigeous Miss (Macfarlane) ran the last 600m of a comfortable 1200m in 40.4.  Revolt (Browne) left 800m behind in 54.3.
