Blaze Smartie looked capable of completing a brace of wins after nice final work at Cambridge

Galloping on the plough, Blaze Smartie worked well under a firm hold from the 1000m in 1.10, completing the last 600m in 40. He was most impressive on debut and should go well again at Te Rapa this weekend.   Works Wonders came in well from the 1000m in 1.9.3 sprinting the final 600 in 38.1.

Alter Ego looked in good order when cutting out 800m in 50.7. Elusive Gold came to the end of 800m in 52.  Sheez All Heart looked fit for Te Rapa when covering 1000m in 1:7 and 39. Kisses and Satay were given an easy 1000m in 1.14 and home in 44.8. Ashwini followed in 1.9.9, and 39.5. Rocanto coasted 600m in 42. Hillsborough came to the end of 600m in 42.6.  Sweet Indulgence, Windy City and Ruby Tuesday matched strides from the 800m in 54.5.

Tavy came in from the 1000m in 1:6.1, home in 37.6. Bhiwani left 1000m behind in 1:7, the 600m in 38.3. Full Count and Alasandra were paired over 1200m in 1.24.8, the final section in 38.2.
