Allez Eagle looked set for another victory at Te Rapa this weekend after returning good work at Cambridge today
Galloping 16 metres out on a heavy No.2 Grass, Allez Eagle was sent 800m, sprinting the last 600m in 39.7. His track rider, Shaun Collins, said his mount was inconvenienced by the heavy ground but felt fantastic.
Neo (Orting) prepared for Te Rapa with a nice work out over 1000m in 1:8.8, the final section in 39.9. Impressive debut Zeldara (Legg) and Orion (Murphy) did their Te Rapa prospects no harm when running 1000m in 1.9, finishing off in 39. Adepto (Young) worked nicely alongside stablemate Wowowow (Kuru) coming in from the 600m in 38.8. Bellbird (Texeira) appeared comfortable throughout 600m in 41.7, and Popeye Braggins (Marshall) hit out well over 800m, the last 600m in 41.
Working on the sand, Lady Sayyida (Norvall) was given a comfortable 1200m at three quarter pace, quickening over the last 600m in 40.7. Honeymoon (Hills) followed with similar work.
Hot In Pink (Cooper) was timed from the 600m in 39.6. Dancer’s Tale (Orting) reeled off 800m in 54. Carbide (Legg) and Dreamlive (Murphy) were sent 800m in 54.9 and Snave (Legg) covered 800m in 53.
