Guns at Five and Star of Show, who have both been in recent exceptional form, worked nicely together in preparation for racing at New Plymouth this weekend. 

Galloping on a good plough at Cambridge this morning Guns at Five (Hills) and Star of Show (Young) matched strides from the 1200m in 1:17.3, sprinting the last 600m in 36.6.      

Worthing (Cameron) followed up encouraging Tuesday work by running 600m in 35.6.  Ockham’s Razor (Smith), a likely favourite for the Platinum Homes Two Year Old Classic at New Plymouth, was let off with an easy 800m in 56.5, breezing up over the last 200m in 12.7.  Marvon Downs (Cameron) and Free and Easy (Armitt) were timed from the 600m in 39.1.  

The Diamond Duke (Collins) was not after time when running 600m in 43.1.  Recession Proof (Harris) was also given a comfortable 600m in 42.7.  AR Rialta (Woods) returned 1:5 for 1000m, the last 600m in 38.2.  Tivoli (Woods) left 1000m behind in 1:8.4 and 39.4 for the last 600m.  Miss Jay Bee Jay (Orting) covered 1000m in 1:9 sprinting the 600m in 36.7.  Aspinal (Donoghue) ran 600m in 43.  Darci Divine (Hayley) and Almon (Young) ran the last 600m of 1000m in 38.7.  

Sea Dragon (McShane) came to the end of an easy 1000m in 1:12 and 40.9.  One Hip Chick (Bates) left 1000m behind in 1:7.9 and 36.9.   Lady Chaparral (Woods) strode 1000m in 1:8.5, finishing off in 37.2.  

Galloping on the No. 1 grass Avondale Guineas hopeful Colorado Sun (Holmes) was not pushed when completing 600m in 44.2.  Carrick (Ormsby), who brings solid form into this weekend’s Avondale Guineas, was travelling sweetly throughout 1400m in 1:39.2, the last 600m in 39.8.  

Working on the No. 2 grass Butcher’s Daughter (Ivil) ran 1200m in 1:22.1, quickening from the 600m in 37.7 and No Enemy (medium weight) cut out 1200m in 1:23.5, coming home in 38.3.
