Track Work – Thursday 16 May 2013

Dancer’s Tale and Orbity worked well together at Cambridge this morning

Galloping on a heavy No.2 grass with the markers out 20 metres Dancer’s Tale (German) and Orbity (Bussey) matched strides from the 1000m in 1:7.2, sprinting the last 600m in 38.1. Dancers Tale, who showed much promise earlier in the season, looks ready to produce a bold fresh up performance despite an outside draw at Te Rapa on Saturday.

Best Command (Porter), who begins a winter campaign at Te Rapa, galloped freely throughout 600m in 39. Priceless (Hughes), who also has a wide draw at Te Rapa, was let off with a comfortable 1000m in 1:13, coming home in 44.2. Elusive Gold (Hutton) did his weekend chances no harm when completing 1200m with stablemate Misstar (Burgess) in 1:20, the concluding 600m in 37.9.

Queen Rania (Dalley) and Royal Tiger (McGorrian) maintained a good pace from the 1000m in 1:6.2, the 600m in 38. Hollywood Angel (Young) and Romani (Leung) worked in from the 1000m in 1:10.8, coming home in 40.7.
Wrecking Crew (Harris) left 1000m behind in 1:9, finishing off in 41. Matagouri (Hutton), who was recently an impressive trials winner, worked over 1000m with Zvonareva (German) in 1:6.4 sprinting the final 600m in 37.9.

Galloping on the sand Carbonado (Collins) worked over one round and was clocked from the 1000m in 1:9, the last 600m in 39.7. Fair Dinkum (German) and Alpine Beauty (Bussey) were sent 800m in 58 and Akeepa (Hills) cruised 600m in 44.6.
