The French Way returned encouraging work when preparing for New Plymouth this weekend

Galloping 12 metres out on a heavy No.2 Grass, The French Way (Sarah) was travelling sweetly under a firm hold throughout 1000m in 1:8.7, the final 600m in 39.4.

Aaja Nachle (Bellowes), another Taranaki prospect, was not after time, when striding comfortably in from the 1000m in 1:11, finishing off in 44.1.   She looks at peak fitness for her weekend assignment.

Victor Hugo (Jago) held a slight advantage over Divine Chiva (Mickey) at the end of 1200m in 1:21, the last 600m in 39.   Moni Nui (Norvall) was sent 2000m the last 1200m in 1:29, the concluding 600m in 43.4.   Epicurean (Ivil) and Moon Tide (Murray) matched strides over an easy 1000m in 1:10.8 and 43.3.

Zankuro (Legg) looked fit for Te Rapa when completing 1200m in 1:22, the final section in 39.6.   Alencia (Cameron) and Chaucer (Leahy) were clocked from the 600m in 41.2. Domarco (Pedro) left 1000m behind in 1:8.2 and 41 for the last 600m. Urban Rocker (Ormsby) and Gin City (Collins) did well to return 1:6.2 for 1000m, finishing off in 39. Zanotti (McNab) ran 600m in 42.1.
