Weekend acceptances Mistaar and Castle Bee worked well together on a quiet morning at Cambridge today

Galloping 13m out on a heavy no.2 grass, Mistaar and Castle Bee matched strides from the 1200m in 1:22.6, sprinting the final 600m in 38.7sec. Mistaar, who races at Tauranga this weekend has been working well for some time and now looks at peak fitness. Castle Bee
looks a strong chance at Tauranga on Saturday.

Lady Sayyida did her Gate Pa chances no harm when sent 1800m, the last 1400m in 1:30.6, coming home in 39.8 sec. Chill Bill, who disappointed last start, was in good form over 1400m in 1:35.3, the concluding 600m in 39 sec. Ultra consistent, Elusive Gold, came to the end of 1000m in 1:08.1 and 39.6sec. Storming The Tower, who ran a much improved second last start, looked in good order for Saturday’s Kiwi Fruit Cup when clocked from the 1200m in 1:24, the 600m in 38.3 sec. Single Shot strode 1400m in 1:40, quickening over the last 600m in 39.3sec. Lamazon and Escalate were paired over 1000m in 1:06 and finishing off in 38.2sec.
