Track Work – Thursday, 19 July

Khemosabi, an acceptor for both Taranaki and Ruakaka this weekend, looked at peak fitness when galloping on the outside of a slow No.2 grass at Cambridge today.

Fog prevented the timing of several gallops.

Kemosabi (Frank) was travelling strongly at the completion of 1000m in 1:8.2, completing the final 600m in 38.4.  He should continue his solid run of form this weekend.

Worthing (Cameron) completed his preparation for Saturday’s Opunake Cup in fine style with a nice workout over 1000m in 1:8.7, finishing off in 38.6.   Large As Life (Hughes) strode 1200m in 1:20, the last 600m in 38.5.   Innovation (M Cropp) and Wanabefamous (medium weight), who are stable mates and race rivals at New Plymouth this weekend, finished on terms after running 1200m in 1:20, the final 600m in 39.  Nazrena (Collett) reeled off 600m in 39.1.

Senna (Doyle) came to the end of 1200m in 1:22.   Aston Martin (Forbes) and Indiana Jones (Kelly) were clocked over the last 400m of work in 26.1.  Feel One (Gillies) and Taking the Mickey (Donoghue) came to the end of 1000m in 1:8.8 and 39.6.

I’m All Irish (Browne) completed the final 600m of 1200m in 40.6.  Big Idea (Thornton) and Vanilla (Kelly) matched strides from the 1000m in 1:8, the last 600m in 38.4.
