Track Work – Thursday, 20th September 2012

Rollout The Carpet prepared for racing at Hastings on Saturday, where her mission is the Hawke’s Bay Breeders’ Gold Trail Stakes, with an encouraging gallop at Cambridge this morning.

Galloping on the outside of a slow No.4 grass Rollout The Carpet (Browne) was well held over 400m in 27.1. She looks ready for a bold fresh up run this weekend.

Windsor Park Plate candidate He’s Remarkable (Dally) travelled sweetly throughout 1000m, completing the final 600m in 39.3. He will be racing without blinkers on Saturday and looks a leading prospect for the Group 1 feature. Carrick (Donoghue) was not pushed when running 1000m in 1:9.2, the final 600m in 40.

Galloping 15 metres out on the No.2 grass Pellegrini (German) hit out freely over 1000m in 1:4.9, the last 600m in 37.3. Our King Pin (Roustoby) and Captain Cat (Hutton) were sent 1000m in 1:5.6, coming home in 39.4. Both are in good heart for their Hawke’s Bay engagements. Aspinal (Donoghue) cut out 600m in 40.7. Marguerita Time (Hughes) left 1200m behind in 1:22.7 and 37.8. Great of Favours (Orting) and Ishma
(S Orting) matched strides from the 600m in 39.6. Best Command (Paddy) returned the quickest 600m of the morning when returning 36.3.

Galloping on the sand Oak Park (Hutton) and Genis (Orting) came to the end of 800m in 54. Skimeo (Norvall) was clocked from the 600m in 40.9 and Chill Bill and Lost World ran 1000m in 1:7.7, the 600m in 38.6.
