Ultra consistent mare Summer’s Day, handled the loose conditions well when completing her final work for Saturday’s Team Wealleans Tauranga Classic

Galloping on a heavy no.4 grass, Summer’s Day travelled sweetly from the 1000 in 1:08.4,
completing the final 600 in 39.3.

Galloping on the outside of a heavy no.2 grass, Bachelor Zeel was in good form when completing 1400, the last 1200 in 1:28.7, finishing off in 43.1. Curious came to the end of 600 in 40.7. Wooden Edge, who has been working well since a recent trials win, ran 800m with stablemate Superare, completing the final 600 in 42.1. Wooden Edge is set to debut at Waipa this Sunday.

Shot In The Dark strode 1000 in 1:09, coming home in 41.9. Tea Biscuit and Princess Nicole were paired over 800 in 54. Last start winner, It’s Bianca appeared comfortable in the conditions when completing 1000 in 1:08.4 and home in 41.3. El Disparo reeled off a comfortable 600 in 43.6. Monarch Chimes and North Of The Wall, who are both entered for Tauranga this weekend, were together at the completion of a comfortable 600 in 44.6.

Alamer, another local entered for the Tauranga Classic was clocked from the 600 in 42.9. Aaja Nachle ran 600 in 43. Buffalo Lass came to the end of 1000 in 1:09 and 42.1. Pacarous was sent one round at 3/4 pace, quickening over the last 600 in 42.
