Khemosabi looked close to peak fitness when returning an encouraging gallop at Cambridge today. Working on a good plough Khemosabi (Frank) maintained a solid pace throughout 1000m in 1:1.1, sprinting the 600m in 36.2. The Commands gelding ran a promising fourth at his most recent start but has a wide barrier draw to overcome at Te Rapa this week-end.

Party Cat (Robson) left no doubts about her readiness for Te Rapa when covering 1000m in 1:5, the last 600m in 38.4. Little Alfie Brown (Satherley) strode comfortably from the 1200m in 2:27, finishing off in 41. Jeu de Cartes (Orting) and Lady Kipling (Houston) ran 1000m in 1:7, the concluding 600m in 39. Packlani Princes (Holmes) was timed from the 600m in 42.5.

Let’s Go Fratelli (Roustoby) and a High Chaparral gelding (Houston) came to the end of 1200m in 1:21.1, the 600m in 38.2. Feel One (Donoghue) returned 39.4 for 600m. Shutup Cat (Medium weight) was clocked from the 600m in 37.9. Large as Life (Hills) and Open and Shut (Robson) cut out 600m in 39. Speedy Rocket (Brown) followed in 41.3. Ishma (Orting) completed 800m in 55.3. Take a Moment (Vance) came to the end of 600m in 37.7. Star Pin (Robson) ran an easy 800m in 55.6. Anna Marea (Norvall) finished off her work with 600m in 39. Super Belt (Frank) returned 1:6.7 for 1000m, the 600m in 39.5. Doctor Fremantle (Brennan) did well to run 800m in 49.4 and Wrecking Crew (Forbes) sprinted 600m in 39.3.

Galloping on the No 4 grass Trendy (Tiko) was given a comfortable 800m in 57.8. Run To The Bank (Cliff) completed 1000m in 1:5.9, the 600m in 39.6. Shirlinda (Bradley) sprinted 600m freely in 37. Floreat Days (McNab) ran a comfortable 600m in 43.

Working on the No.1 grass Holy Moly (Dally), preparing for next week’s One Thousand Guineas at Riccarton, travelled sweetly throughout 1200m in 1:21, coming home in 38. Full of Spirit (Andrew), a race rival and stablemate, left 1400m behind in 1:32.1, the 1000m in 1:2.6 and the last 600m in 37. Veronica Franco (Holmes) strode 1400m in 1:37.5, finishing off in 38.
