Master Michael galloped impressively when preparing for Matamata this week-end

Working on a good plough Master Michael (Michael) left 1000m behind in 1:3.1, completing the last 600m in 36.9. A model of consistency, Master Michael will be having the last star t of his current campaign in the Rating 80 2000m on Saturday.
He’s A Joker (Carter) looked fit for his week-end engagement at Matamata when covering 1000m in 1:5, the final 600m in 37.6. Matamata Cup candidate Hurricane Mickey (Roustoby), a previous course winner, worked nicely alongside stablemate Snave (Vance) over 1000m in 1:4.8, finishing off in 36.9.
Guns at Five (Cully) and Tic Toc Arnie (Hills) matched strides from the 1000m in 1:6.3 and 38.6 for the concluding 600m. Lady Chaparral (Hills) and Marguerita Time (Cropp) came to the end of 1000m in 1:7.9, the last 600m in 39.8. Feel One (Donoghue) was clocked from the 600m in 37.7. Bindi (Webb) was let off with a comfortable 1000m, the last 600m in 43.
Prairie Star (Tiko), who begins a fresh campaign at Matamata, worked nicely alongside Last Picasso (Rasher) over 1200m in 1:18.1, completing the final 600m in 36.7.
Doctor Fremantle (Waddell), who is coming to hand well for major spring events, returned the quickest time of the morning when running 1000m in 1:2, the last 600m in 35.8. He is expected to trial at Te Teko next week. Paradise City (Forbes) ran 800m in 54. Say No More (Cameron) and Star Pin (Armitt) were together at the completion of 1000m in 1:4.2, the 600m in 36.5. Queen of Pop (Orting) followed in 1:4.9 and 37.1.
Someone Like You (Roustoby) and Oak Park (Orting) strode a comfortable 600m in 43. Fast Love (Houston) was sent 1200m at three-quarter pace, running the last 600m in 43.2.
The Terminator (Holmes) left 1600m behind in 1:50.7, the 1000m in 1:5.6 and the last 600m in 37.4.
Walk the Tiger (Dally) ran the last 600m of an easy 1000m in 42.9. Wrecking Crew (Forbes) completed 1000m in a comfortable 1:10.3, the final 600m in 40.9. San Carbo (Vance) completed 1000m in 1:4.9, finishing off in 36.9. Oh Blue Angel (McShane) and Game Time (Cowie) were paired over 1000m in 1:13.5, the last 600m in 42.7.

Galloping on a good No.2 grass Miss Isle (Waddell), a last-start winner who races at Matamata, ran an easy 1000m with stable mate Nobility (Ivil) in 1:14.8, coming home in 43.7.
Riverto (Croon) ran 1200m in 1:17.9, the 600m in 39.4.
