Track Work – Tuesday, 1 May

Kranji Star and Wrecking Crew were in good form when working on a dead No.3 grass at Cambridge today.

Kranji Star (Thornton) and Wrecking Crew (Forbes) were full of running at the completion of 800m in 51.3, sprinting the final 600m in 37.6.  Power Keeper (Berg) and Fullofit (Laefedal) matched strides from the 600m in 38.9.

The Tidy Express (Macfarlane) had Springtime Fever (Dally) for a companion over 1000m, the concluding section in 39.

Karlos (Macfarlane) schooled nicely over a round of the hurdles in preparation for winter racing.  He looks in good heart for a fresh campaign.

Working on the sand Almon (Harley) galloped freely with Pint Sized Punt (Webb) over 1000m in 1.8, the last 600m in 42.  The Diamond Duke (McNab) was timed over the last 600m of 1600m in 42.4.  Run to the Bank (Shaw) completed the last 600m, of his work over 1000m, in 42.  He showed much promise last campaign and looks to have derived much benefit from a recent spell.

Floreat Days (Waddell) ran the last 600m of 800m in 41.2.  Aurora Lights (Waddell), who was unlucky not to win on debut, ran the last 600m of strong work in 41.2.  She races at Hastings on Friday and should have excellent prospects.  Stock Pin (Ormsby) covered 600m evenly in 42.  Miss Evita (medium weight) was in fine form when coming in from the 600m in 38 and Large Risk (Armitt) travelled well throughout 1200m in 1.20.2, finishing off in 38.1.
