Celebrity Miss looked at peak form when returning encouraging work at Cambridge this morning

Galloping six metres out on a slow no.2 grass, Celebrity Miss, who has improved with recent racing, was travelling strongly at the completion of 1200 in 1:19.01, sprinting the final 600 in 38.1.

Enjoy The Ride, from the in form stable of Ralph Manning, was travelling sweetly at the completion of the 1000, sprinting the final 600 in 37. Its Bianca completed 1000 in 1:06.2, finishing off in 37.9. San Miguel and Shot In The Dark were on terms at the completion of 1000 in 1:07.3 and 38.4.

Impressive trials winner Wooden Edge, shaded stable mate Honkietonk Tiger at the completion of 1000 in 1:05.3, finishing off in 37.3. Wooden Edge is due to make his debut at Tauranga this weekend. Ujumpijump worked well over 1200 in 1:20.8, the last 600 in 39. Peg, a convincing winner at the recent Avondale trials and Emily’s Choice were together throughout 1000 in 1:08.8, completing the 600 in 38.6.

Bachelor Zeel was sent 1400, the last 1000 in 1:08.5 and the final 600 in 39.6. Aajanachle was clocked the final 600 of 1000 in 39.1. Elusive Gold came to the end of 1000 in 1:07.2, finishing off in 38.9. El Desparo worked easily from the 1200 in 1:26, quickening over the final 600 in 40. Beach Beauty and Blackbird were timed from the 1200 in 1:18, finishing off in 37.7.

Stradivarius and No Need matched strides from the 1000, sprinting the last 600 in 36.9. Single Shot and Pacorus cut out 1200 together in 1:18.4, the final 600 in 38.6. Gin Keeper was timed from the 600 in 38.3. Bo Yang followed in 38.4. Monach Chimes worked in from the 1000 in 1:08.9, coming home in 39.1.

On the no.4 grass, Summers Day cruised comfortably over 1000 in 1:12, finishing off in 39.9.
