She’s Invincible did her Foxbridge Plate chances no harm when returning encouraging work at Cambridge today.
Galloping on the inside of a heavy No.2 grass She’s Invincible (Cameron) handled the conditions well when sprinting 600m in a fast 36.2. She should be worth serious consideration in a strong line-up at Te Rapa on Saturday. Race rival Master Power (Hills) was another who was untroubled by the conditions when running 1000m in 1:8.6, sprinting the final 600m in 37.5.
Marguerita Time (Gatu) worked well over 1200m, being timed over the final 1000m in 1:7.4 and finishing off in 37.1. Mr Rimfire (German) was sent a comfortable 1000m in 1:12, quickening over the last 600m in 41.6. Monkey Rock (Collett) who is in career-best form was travelling easily throughout 800m, the concluding 600m in 43.1. Pump Up The Volume (Macfarlane) looked a strong chance for Te Rapa this week-end when covering 1400m in 1:36.6, the last 600m in 39.6. Fleur de Lune (Jago), a favoured contender for Saturday’s Foxbridge Plate, galloped 1000m on Wednesday morning in 1:7.7, the last 600m in 39.2.
Working on a firm sand Lady Chaparral (Gatu) cut out 1200m in 1:22, the 600m in 38.6. Northern General (Brown) was clocked from the 600m in 43.7.
