Trackwork – Tuesday, 21st August

 Lady Chaparral handled the heavy track conditions better than most at Cambridge today.

Galloping on the outside of a rain-soaked No.2 grass Lady Chaparral (preparing for Saturday’s Interprovincial at New Plymouth) with raceday rider Mark DuPlessis aboard, travelled nicely throughout 1400m, the last 1000m in 1:9.5, the concluding 600m in 41.7. You’re in Luck (Bradley) was sent 1400m, running the last 600m in 43.2. Despereax (Brown) cut out 1200m in 1:32, the final 600m in 43.9. Panza Flying (O’Shea) was timed over the last 600m of work in 46.

Indian Sky (Selena) and Dubai Dan (medium weight) were paired over 1200m in 1:27, the 600m in 43.6. Hurricane Mickey (German) left 1200m behind in 1.32.7, quickening from the 600m in 42.9. Taking the Mickey (Donoghue) followed with 1000m in 1:10.8, the 600m in 43. Swami (Roustoby) came to the end of 1000m in 1:9.9 and 43.4 and King Queen (Brown) ran 1200m in 1:30.4, the  last 600m in 46.5.

Galloping on a firm sand Miss Jaydeejay (German) came to the end of 1000m in 1:9, the 600m in 41. Lost World (Roustoby) was timed from the 600m in 41.6. The Governator (McIlroy) completed 1000m in 1:14, the 600m in 43. Marica Mia (Orting) and Big Rocket (S. Orting) ran 1000m together in 1:10, the concluding 600m in 41.6
