Trackwork – Tuesday, 7th August

While fog interrupted the timing of several gallops, Torino and He’s Remarkable worked nicely together on a heavy No. 1 grass at Cambridge this morning.

Impressive last-start winner Torino (McNab) and top-class performer He’s Remarkable (Dally) travelled comfortably together from the 1000m in 1:11, quickening from the 600m in 39.6.  Both were under a strong hold at the finish. Fleur de Lune (Jago) left 1000m behind in 1:12.9, finishing off in 41.5.     

Working on the No.2 grass You’re in Luck (Forbes) and Kash Up (Bradley) came to the end of 1000m in 1:6, the 600m in 39.6. Itsallme (Ivil) kept up a strong gallop from the 1200m in 1:16.8. Indian Sky (Selena) strode 1200m in 1:22.6 and 41.7. Lalett (Norvall) did well when returning 1:05 for 1000m, the last 600m in 38. Star of Reims (Collett) ran a comfortable 1000m in 1:13, coming home in 42. Thee Old Sheila (Clifford) was clocked from the 600m in 42.8.

Galloping on a firm sand Neio (Murphy) and Rio Nugget (Orting) matched strides from the 600m in 38.7. Pellegrini (German) impressed over 600m in 37. Miss Jaydeejay (German) was sent 800m in 54.7. Trust (Roustoby) was not  pushed when returning 44.6 for 600m. Captain Cat (Jones) and Swami (Jessica) completed 1000m in 1:12, sprinting the final 600m in 37.7. Rollout The Carpet (Brown), who is coming to hand well, was given an easy task over 600m in 43. Sand D’Ior (Woods) strode in easily from the 1000m in 1:15.1 and 42.7. Mackadoo (Roustoby) was clocked from the 600m in 38.3.
