A bold showing at Trentham on Saturday will confirm a return visit to Australia for Saracino.

“He’ll run at Trentham over 1400 metres against his own age group and all going well he’ll then go to Sydney for the Arrowfield 1200,” said owner Lib Petagna’s racing manager, Bruce Perry.

The Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman-trained Saracino won the Gr.2 Danehill at Flemington last spring and has the Gr.2 Grant Plumbing Wellington Guineas as his immediate programme.

“He’s quite a hard horse to place now,” Perry said of the Per Incanto colt.
