Memorable Day For Manning

Cambridge trainer Ralph Manning was the star of the show at New Plymouth today when he produced three consecutive winners.

His treble was kick-started by Wanabefamous, who was bred by the late Ada Parnwell, followed by Alphabet Street and completed by The French Way.

A son of Star Way, Wanabefamous has now won six races and he led in a Cambridge quinella when he accounted for Graeme Lord’s D’Laro.

Manning also races the five-year-old and a double dose of ownership delight came his way when Alphabet Street romped home.

In the hands of apprentice Anna Jones, the Danroad gelding posted his second career success in style.

The French Way completed a memorable day for Manning when he also recorded second victory.

He is an aptly-named son of Guillotine from a successful Taranaki family that includes the former good gallopers Auditor and Kythera.
