VERNANME looked on target to complete a bracket of wins this weekend with nice work on the plough.

VERNANME, top weight and early favourite for Saturday’s Matamata Veterinary Services Kaimai Stakes at Matamata, was in good heart when not pushed over 1000m in 1:12.1, increasing pace from the 600m run in 39.1.

FRONTMAN followed a brave placing last week with an excellent gallop alongside LOVINGYOURWORK, completing 1200m in 1:17.5, dashing the last 600m in 36.4.  Both are set to race next weekend at Ellerslie, FRONTMAN in the Vodafone NZ Derby and LOVINGYOURWORK in the McKee Family Sunline Vase.

THE NIGHT KING looked fit for Matamata when galloping 1000m with TIGER FIRE and SPORTING CHANCE in 1.9, finishing off in 38.8.

CHEAPERTHANDIVORCE was not fully extended when timed 1400m in 1.40, the final 600m in 40.4.  WESTERN SPRINGS could give his more fancied rivals a run for their money at Matamata.

He followed a nice Tuesday gallop with 600m in 38.5.

ALL BLACK BOURBON, who begins a fresh campaign at Matamata was clocked 600m in 43.1.

JIMMY CHOUX|ASHLEY and PARAMOUNT PRINCE matched strides from the 1000m in 1:6.8 and 38.7.

ALIGHIERI and CURRENTLY did well over 1000m in 1:6.3, sprinting home in 37.8.  KIWIANNA was let off with a comfortable 1000m in 1:12.6 and 43.7.

SPRING DELIGHT came to the end of 1000m in 1.6, the last 600m in 38.1.  MARRONI was timed from the 600m in 39.

RHAEGAR maintained a strong pace from the 1000m in 1:1.1, sprinting the final 600m in 36.7.

CRAFTY JESS and READY TO DREAM left 1000m behind in 1:7.3 and 39.1.  YATIMA was not after time over 1000m in 1:14.3 and 43.7. LANEWAY FLIRTING ran 600m in 43.

PERSONAL COLUMN and AIONO impressed, cutting out 1000m in 1:5.3, home in 36.8.
