Shining Armour looked poised for another win after returning a solid gallop at Cambridge today

Galloping on the inside of a heavy No.2 Grass Shining Armour (O’Shea) travelled sweetly throughout 1000m in 1:6.2, the last 600m in 38.1.

Hollywood Angel (McNab) and a No Excuse Needed gelding from the Busuttin and Young stable (medium weight) matched strides from the 1000m in 1:8.7, finishing off in 39.4.   Zabanella (Browne) and Pink Diamond (D Browne) were paired over 1000m in 1:8.6, the concluding 600m in 39.3.   Bob Valdez (Gatu) was in good form when completing 1200m in 1:23, the last 600m in 39.1.      

Alasandra (Reid) and Brandy Belle (McGorrian) were on terms at the end of 1200m in 1:20.4, finishing off in 40.   Popeye Braggins (Marshall) strode in easily from the 1200m in 1:24.2, the 600m in 41.   Lady Hauraki (Shaw) completed 600m in 42.7.   Fullovit (Ivil) followed in 39.9.   Von Crumb (McNab) and a St Reims gelding (Stam) were given an easy task over 600m in 44.1.

Working on the sand Fairytale Romance (Collins) was not extended when covering 1000m in 1:16, the 600m in 41.   Kisses (Sharples) came in easily from the 1000m in 1:12, the final 600m in 43.   Ataboy (Hills) and Candy Girl (medium weight) were clocked from the 600m in 45.
