Track Work – 8 March 2012

Bob Valdez prepared for the last day of the Auckland Cup carnival with a strong gallop on the No.1 grass, which provided good footing at Cambridge today.

Bob Valdez (Hills) left 1400m behind in 1:36, the 1000m in 1:1, dashing the last 600m in 36.1.    He has been racing consistently and should prove hard to beat in the Telecom Rating 65 on Saturday.

Showcause (Ivil), an acceptor for the Lindauer New Zealand Stakes, worked nicely alongside stable mate No Enemy from the 1200m in 1:23.3, the 1000m in 1:6.4 and the final 600m in 37.7.

Working on the plough race rival Lady Kipling (Orting) was comfortable throughout 1400m in 1:42.6, the 1000m in 1:9.6, the last 600m in 39.9.   Worthing (Cameron) looked fit for his Ellerslie engagement when sprinting 600m in 37.3.   He races well at Ellerslie and handles all track conditions.  Precision King (Houston) worked in from the 800m in 52.  Spinmyworld (Dally), who is attempting a brace of wins at Ellerslie on Saturday, completed 1200m in 1:25, coming home in 41.7.   Walk the Tiger (Dally) ran 800m in 52.7.   Beejay Belle (Bell) ran 1200m in 1:22.4, the concluding 600m in 41.  Exquisite Choice (O’Shea) followed in 1:26.1 and 41.4.

Watch King (Brendon) and Mistaar (German) did well to return 50.4 for 800m, the 600m in 36.3.   Beyond All Doubt (Dally) ran a comfortable 800m in 56.9.  Lost World (Orting) completed 600m in 40.1.    Mackadoo (German) covered 800m in 51.1.   Nancho Bella (Brennan) came to the end of 600m in 40.4.   Butcher’s Daughter (Ivil) left 1200m behind in 1:23 and 39.3.   Selena (Macfarlane) ran 1000m in 1:4.2, coming home in 37.8.

Best bet and track tip   -   Spinmyworld – has improved since impressive last start win – go again.

Outsider   -   Doctor Fremantle.
