Track Work – Thursday, 12 January

Last-start winner Winslet and stablemate Precision King came through their final gallops for Marton this weekend in fine style at Cambridge today.  Galloping 12 metres out on a slow No 2 grass Winslet (Harris) and Precision King (Orting) left 1000m behind in 1:8.3, completing the last 600m in 38.8.  Both have solid form leading into their weekend engagements and should be most competitive.

Galloping on a firm sand St Blackberry (Waters), a favoured runner for the Lindauer Maiden at Ellerslie, was let off with a comfortably 600m in 44.9.   Rosita (Dalley) travelled well throughout a comfortable 800, the concluding 600m in 44.  Blue Nile (Houston) ran 600m in 40.1.  Pussy O’Reilly (Nicholson) was clocked from the 600m in 38.9.  Park City (Dalley) worked in from the 800m in 54.  Court Command (Waters) and a Lionheart filly (Holmes) ran 600m in 45 and a Testa Rossa gelding (Holmes) left 60m behind in 40.
