Chill Bill enhanced his Tauranga weekend prospects with good work at Cambridge this morning.      

Galloping on the outside of a heavy No.3 Grass, Chill Bill (Jago) was well held throughout 800m, completing the last 600m in 42.   He has come through recent racing well and looks at peak fitness.

Bob Valdez (Gatu) and Mr Topaz (Blane) left 800m behind in 55.   Aaja Nachle (Ivil) did his Tauranga prospects no harm when returning 42.3 for 600m.   High Society (Murphy) completed 600m in 42.8.   Dubai Wolf (McNab) and Alacudi (Harris) matched strides over a comfortable 1000m in 1:13 and 42.6. The Paper Boy (Holmquist), who races at Rotorua on Monday, returned the quickest 600m of the morning in 39.7.

Ruakaka visitor, Magna Carta (Logan), was sent 1400m, the final 600m in 41.7. Second Innings (T Thornton) worked in nicely from the 600m in 40.3. Imperial Duke (Ormsby) ran 600m in 41.  Minganui (Vicky) and The French Way (Sarah) strode 1200m together in 1:26, coming home in 42.   And Fire Power (Hills) left a comfortable 1200m behind in 1:27, finishing off in 44.
