Highland Park left no doubts about his fitness for Matamata when working on a good plough at Cambridge today
Highland Park (Satherley) maintained a solid pace with stablemate Victor Hugo (Jago) from the 800m, sprinting the final 600m in 37.9. Runner-up in his debut, Highland Park, has derived much benefit from the race and should be a top prospect this weekend.
Von Krumm (Dillon) looked fit for his Matamata assignment when sent an easy 600m in 43.1. Horse Warrior (Satherley) and Diamond Edge (Legg) were in good form when sprinting 600m in 37.5. Cool Gal (Waters) left 1000m behind in 1:8, the concluding 600m in 39.2.
Kelly O’Reilly (Smith) and Demarco (Texeira) were clocked from the 600m in 39.1. Maygrove (Satherley) came to the end of a comfortable 600m in 42.7. Repulse Bay (Cheong) worked in from the 600m in 38.4. And Vesta (Gatu) strode 1600m in 1:46.7, sprinting the last section in 38.6.
