Track Work – Thursday, 20 June 2013

Snave drew attention to his weekend prospects with a smart gallop in extremely heavy conditions at Cambridge today

Working 18 metres out on the No.2 Grass Snave (Hutton) had no problem with the conditions when completing 1000m in 1:09, the concluding 600m in 42.9.   Snave begins a new campaign at Tauranga on Saturday and has the benefit of a recent trials win.

Shining Armour (O’Shea), another Tauranga acceptor, worked in nicely from the 600m in 42.7.    Ginga Ninja (Foote) and Cornelius (Rogers) were under firm holds throughout 600m in 47.   Blossom Queen (Gatu) strode 1000m in 1:11.1, finishing off in 43.6.    Taking the Mickey (Donoghue) came to the end of 1000m in 1:11.9 and 43.7.   Lucky Tonight (Houston) was let off with a three quarter pace gallop over 600m.

Brilliance (Ormsby) was clocked from the 600m in 44.   Harp (Sarah) and Bellbird (Texeira) were paired over 600m in 43.9.   Full Count (McGorrian), Delacroix (Reid) and Dunoon (Humphreys) ran the last 600m of 1000m in 43.
