Track Work – Thursday, 20 October

Passilente sounded a warning to her Blandford Lodge and Karaka 2012 sprint rivals at Ellerslie this week-end when presenting excellent work at Cambridge today. Galloping on a heavy No.2 grass, with the markers out 12 metres, Passilente (Orting) left 1000m behind in 1:4.6, the last 600m in 37.5. The former Melbourne-trained filly was full of running at the finish. Race rival Savannah Dancer (Collett), a favoured contender, worked in from the 600m with Mr Kanton (Gillies) in 39.5.

Lemonade (Backstrom) did her Ellerslie chances no harm when completing 1000m in 1:7.3, finishing off in 38.6. Prairie Star (Tiko) looked ready for the Rating 90 2000m at Te Rapa next Monday when working in from the 1000m in 1:3.7, the concluding section in 37.9. Chickilicious (Robson) and Indian Sky (Armitt) matched strides over a solid 1200m in 1:16.9, finishing off in 38.3. Taking the Mickey (Ormsby) strode comfortably from the 1000m in 1:9, the 600m in 40.

Worthing (Cameron), an impressive last-start winner, was clocked from the 800m in 51. Lady Chaparral (Hills) and Marguerita Time (Murray) came to the end of 1200m in 1:21 and 38.6. Fast Love (Houston) covered 1400m in 1:37.9, the 600m in 41.8. Guns at Five (Hills) followed with 1200m in 1:20, the concluding 600m in 39.1.
Feel One (Donoghue) cut out 1000m in 1:8.4, the final 600m in 39.6. Lucy in Disguise (Cuneen) and Trendy (Tiko) were paired over 1200m in 1:17.2 the 600m in 38.2. Single Currency (Hills) came to the end of 1000m in 1:7.6, the 600m in 39.8.

Super Belle (Davidson) strode from the 1200m in 1:26.3, coming home in 41. Morven Downs (Ropiha) completed 1200m in 1:20.1, the final 600m in 40.2.
