Galloping on the sand Tauranga aspirant Usanity (Hutton) cut out 600m in 39.2. Mistaar (Holmvist) ran 1000m in 1:8.5 and 39.3. Diademe (Hutton) did her Tauranga chances no harm with a nice workout from the 1000m in 1:9, the 600m in 40. Little Alfie Brown (Satherley) strode 600m in 42.
