Ellerslie candidate Lemonade caught the eye with an impressive final gallop at Cambridge today.  Working on a good plough Lemonade (Backstrom) kept up a strong gallop from the 1000m in 1:1, sprinting the last 600m in 34.7.   She has drawn well this weekend and will have a 1kg apprentice allowance from Maija Vance.

Race rival Khemosabi (Frank) did his prospects no harm when dashing 600m in 35.  Lady Chaparral (Robson), a favoured runner in Saturday’s Eagle Technology Stakes, hit out comfortably from the 1000m in 1:8, the concluding section in 39.6.  Handsome Mates (Hills) came to the end of 800m in 52.1.  Last Picasso (Tiko) came to the end of 1200m in 1:15.7, the last 600m in 36.1.

Nab the Moment (Vance) looked fit for her Ellerslie assignment when completing 600m in 39.9.   Vonusti (Carter) came in from the 600m in 36.5.   Lucky Majesty (Murray) impressed over 1000m in 1:2.4 and 35.4.   Mr Rimfire (German) and Viala (Orting) matched strides from the 1000m in 1:7 and 38.2.    Springtime (Dally) ran the last 600m of 1000m in 39.8.   Game Time (Andrew) and Split Second (Waddell) were paired over 1000m in 1:10.6 and 39.8.  She’s Cruising (Andrew) and a Redoute’s Choice (Dally) from the Roger James stable were on terms after a smart 1000m in 1:2.8 and 36.5.   An O’Reilly filly (German) from Murray Baker’s stable sprinted 600m in 38.   Star of Show (Young) and an Istidaad gelding (Thornton) were clocked from the 600m in 38.1.   AB O’Reilly (Murray) did well to complete 1000, in a fast 59.8, coming home in 35.6.


Mr Kanton (Backstrom) and Charming Creek (Collett) cut out 1000m in 1:2.4 and 35.3.   Oxo (Thornton) and Great Sky (Forbes) strode 1200m in 1:19.9, quickening from the 600m in 37.4.   Keep Thinking (Kayla) ran a comfortable 1000m in 1:10. the concluding 600m in 41.
