Oak Park underlined her Ruakaka prospects with an encouraging gallop at Cambridge this morning
Galloping on a heavy No.2 Grass, with the markers out 15 metres, Oak Park (Forbes) travelled sweetly throughout 1000m in 1:7.7 the final 600m in 38.6. She looks a strong chance in her weekend engagement.
Marguerita Time (Hughes) and Blossom Time (Gatu) worked well together from the 1000m in 1:8.6, finishing off in a strong 38.2. Carbide (Forbes) strode in easily from the 1200m in 1:28, coming home in 44.
Civics Rock (Cropp) and Gendarme (Harris) came to the end of 1000m in 1:9.1, the 600m in 40.1. Dee I Why (Reid) and Honeymoon (McGorrian) matched strides from the 1200m in 1:23, the last 600m in 41.
Taking the Mickey (Donoghue) left 1000m behind in 1:9, the 600m in 41.7. Barside (Young) was clocked from the 600m in 40.9. Under the Influence (Sarah) looked in good order when returning 1:8.2 for 1000m, the 600m in 39.7. Silk Shot (Browne) ran 600m in 40.1.
Working on the sand Danny The Imp (Collins) was comfortable throughout 1200m, the last 1000m in 1:11, the concluding 600m in 43. Handsome Mates (Hughes) ran 1200m in 1:28, quickening from the 600m in 38.4. Bob Valdez (Gatu) came in from the 1000m in 1:8 completing the final 600m in 37.9.
